Achyuth Kumar, an actor from India who mostly works in Kannada cinema. He hails from Tiptur, Tumkur district where he was born and brought up at. He did his schooling from there and completed his B.Com from the Kalpatharu First Grade College completing his graduation from the University of Bangalore. While he was in college, he was inclined towards plays and later got the chance to be trained in acting at Ninasam in Shimoga in Karnataka. While he is as active in theatres, he was spotted by a film and TV director Girish Kasaravalli to play the lead role in a TV series called Gruhabhanga in 2000. He got the supporting actor role in it.
His career in the movies started in the year 2007 when he got two Kannada films playing the father’s role of the female actress and similar other roles in the other movie. These films included Moggina Manasu and Aa Dinagalu. This gave him recognition in the world of acting making him win other films. He did 12 films at a stretch one after the other in a short period of three years. Some of his films include Josh, Manasaare, Prithvi, Naanu Nanna Kanasu, Gubbi, Beli Mattu Hola, Veerabahu, Puttakkana Highway, Rajadhani, Johny Mera Naam, and Panchamrutha, Lifeu Ishtene, and Aata to name a few.
Some of his recent movies include Amaraavati, Srinivasa Kalyana, Urvi, Raajakumara, Aake, Vikram Vedha, Mugulu Nage, College Kumar, Athiratha, Raju Kannada Medium, Kanaka, Chalo, Tagaru, and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal to name a few. Some of his upcoming movies include Thurthu Nirgamana, Avane Srimannarayana, Thayige Thakka Maga, Mayabazar, KGF, Iruvudellava bittu, and Londonnalli Lambodar. He is filming in most of these films while a few are in the post-production phase. Not much is known about his personal life. He has bagged a few Filmfare awards for films including Josh, Hejjegalu , Drishya and Lucia while also has got other awards as well.
